Scapa distillery is located on the faraway and rugged Orkney Islands on the shore of Scapa Flow. Inspired by summer's bright, glittering skies, described in Old Norse as Skiren, it is reminiscent of the Orcadian skies, with delicate scented floral flavours and a long refreshing sweet finish.
Scapa is a truly unique artisanal island malt crafted on the Orkney Islands at one of the last remaining manual operated distilleries in Scotland. Scapa Skiren is crafted by only 5 artisans. This expression is exclusively matured in first-fill American oak casks for a smooth creamy sweetness with a hint of tropical fruit, citrus and coastal heather.
Tasting Notes: Smooth and sweet, ripe honeydew melon slices with bursts of fruity pear contrasting with the tantilizing taste of a sweet lemon sherbet.
Classic Serve: Neat or with ice. If with ice, we recommend an ice sphere which melts slowly and dilutes the drink less.
Alcohol Volume 40%
Region: Orkney Island
Awards: Scapa Skiren receives the highest industry accolades year after year and was awarded a silver medal at the International Wine & Spirits competition 2016.
