Montes Classic wines are true ambassadors, representing the outstanding value Chile can offer for everyday drinking. Sourced from vineyards with yields greater than those producing our Alpha wines, the vineyard husbandry is nonetheless just as professional. Cutivation is virtually organic, and grapes are hand-picked and transported to the winery with the utmost care, to keep bunch damage to an absolute minimum.

This wine is fermented both in cask (60%) and in stainless steel (40%). Half of the wine undergoes malolactic fermentation under strictly controlled conditions, to maintain fruity aromas and encourage complexity in the wine. Pale greeny-gold in color, its aroma combines butteriness, vanilla and tropical fruit. A fresh wine; fruity, with good body and balance; creamy and complex mid-palate, with an elegant finish.

The wine will stand up nicely to white fish like halibut, trout or sole. Butter and herb sauces, meunier, will be great matches. Salads and dishes with pungent cheeses like Roquefort will intensify the fruit and floral aspects of the wine.
