La Dame d’Angludet is aged for 12 months with 50% in barrels (30% new French oak) and 50% in amphorae. In the winery, after some very decisive trials carried out in 2018 with four amphorae, Benjamin Sichel decided to switch over half of the maturation to amphorae as of 2019, hoping to contribute to preserving purity, clarity and aromatic delicacy of the wines. Finesse, elegance and complexity are the watchwords of the 2019 vintage. Beautifully balanced, combining purity and structure, the wine displays great capacity to age well for a number of years. The 2019 is a beautiful illustration of the Angludet style, generous and the perfect partner to food.
With a stunning dark purple robe, dense and deep, this wine captivates with its suave and elegant bouquet, harmoniously combining candied red fruits, blackcurrant notes, and a gracefully mastered woody essence. The lush and fleshy palate unfolds a flavorful, highly persistent texture. Characteristic of Margaux, refined, it is slightly marked by tannins ensuring excellent aging potential.
