The terroir of Château Rouget is composed of sands and clays, which provides the finesse, elegance and velvetiness of Pomerol wines.

Merlot is king and represents 85% of Château Rouget's grape variety. 15% Cabernet Franc.

For several years now, Château Rouget has opted for an integral vinification, from harvest to bottling, the grapes and juice are aged in barrels at 100%, without passing through vats, which allows a gentler extraction.

Harvest: The grapes are harvested by hand in 20 kg crates. Intra-plot approach to ensure an optimal level of maturity. Selective sorting at reception on double table and ginning.
