The spotted hound was a cunning little character. Whenever the butcher turned his back, the hound’s quirky nature would take over, and he would help himself to the finest cuts on offer. 

“This unconventional blend is inspired by the dog’s cheeky chutzpah. Bright red cherry in colour and flavours of plums with an earthy minerality makes for endless enjoyment after work, at a steakhouse or around a fire. This is a wine that shows a slight saltiness on the nose with hints of soft cardamom spice. The palate is infused with red berries, Turkish delight and dried floral spice on the aftertaste.

This daring, exotic blend consists of Grenache Noir (41%); Carignan (32%); Cinsaut (15%) and Shiraz (12%). The Grenache Noir and Carignan are from the Agter- Paarl, while the Cinsaut is from the Simonsberg area. The Shiraz comes from the Stellenbosch region.
