A twist on classic hot buttered rum, this bourbon
cocktail will keep you warm all winter.
HOT BUTTERED BOURBON
2½ parts Bourbon (Maker’s Mark or Jim Beam or Knob
Creek)
6 parts Apple cider (try Somersby)
Butter
Cinnamon stick
Freshly grated nutmeg
Ginger spice
Heat apple cider in a medium saucepan. Add bourbon
and stir to combine. Carefully pour into a prewarmed mug. Add a dollop of
butter and stir with cinnamon stick to combine. Sprinkle freshly grated nutmeg
and a pinch of ginger spice on top.
