Auchentoshan (“ock-un-tosh-un”) is Glasgow’s original urban malt since 1823. It is Scotland’s only distillery to insist on triple distilling every single drop. The triple distillation gives each Auchentoshan marque a complex yet smooth flavour, making it approachable for those who are new to Single Malt and ideal for enjoying neat, over ice, or a base for modern mixology.

Tasting Notes

To The Eye: Bright gold.

To The Nose: Bourbon vanilla and coconut with layers of zesty citrus fruit.

To The Tongue: Refreshingly smooth yet lively with vanilla cream, coconut and white peach.

To The End: Crisp with sugared grapefruit and a hint of spice.

AUCHENTOSHAN ALE

35ml Auchentoshan American Oak

25ml lemon juice

25ml honey syrup

90ml pale ale

Lemon wedge, garnish

Bitters, optional

Combine Auchentoshan, lemon juice, honey syrup in shaker filled with ice. Shake vigorously and strain into a vessel with ice. Top with a Pale Ale of your choice, garnish with a lemon wedge. 

GLASGOW MULE

50ml Auchentoshan American Oak

Squeeze of lime

Topped with ginger beer

Squeeze the lime into a collins glass and drop in the shell. Add 2 or 3 ice cubes, then pour in the American Oak and fill with cold ginger beer.
