This Abeille transports us into the springtime with cherry trees in blossom and aromas of lime trees, dill, straw, acacia, white flowers and even flint, which are typical of our Graves terroir at Fieuzal. There is a remarkable finesse and aromatic intensity. The colour is of pale straw, with golden tints. This blend, which is slightly Semillon dominant, is generous in the mouth with a pronounced rich texture, fine balance and a touch of salinity towards the end. A very light tannic edge gives this Abeille de Fieuzal a wonderfully long finish.
Critical Acclaim
96 Wine Enthusiast: This wine is rich, generously textured and ripe. Acidity is comfortably integrated into the wine's texture, offering hints of tropical fruits, taut minerality and a spicy and warm future. Drink from 2024.
94 by James Suckling: This has a rich, toasty nose of cooked pear, dried pineapple, hazelnut and marmalade. It’s full-bodied with bright acidity. Dense and powerful. Better from 2022.
92 by Decanter: Pretty rich, stone fruits. Exotic fruits abound, even touches of pineapple juice. Very enjoyable but doesn't quite have the lift-off you want; although there is a grip on the finish. Drinking Window 2021 - 2034.
